“I like to challenge myself with each piece of furniture that I make in order to create a truly unique item. Sometimes this means breaking the rules. For example, the wooden framework of this piece had to be glued and cramped onto handmade and expensive curved glass panels to achieve my design.”

THE BRIEF

To create an imposing cabinet to display antique Murano wine glasses without detracting attention from the items themselves.

THE RESULT

A creamy white ripple Sycamore interior allowed the beautiful colours of the glass to stand out while the rich dark Rosewood exterior created a strong frame for the pieces.

Materials: Solid rosewood, sycamore veneer and curved glass.
